Big Midsummer Party: We celebrate 1 year of Little Finland in Hanau
It has been about a year now since the Little Finland store in Quedlinburg got a sibling. Annika Borisov opened her Little Finland Shop & Café at Lindenstraße 5 in Hanau – initially as a pop-up store, but soon as a permanent institution in the city center of the Brothers Grimm town. We therefore want to celebrate the one-year anniversary in a big way with all our customers, friends and Finland fans. What better occasion for this than the Finnish Midsummer Festival?
Tango, kantele and barrel sauna
On Saturday, June 24, 2023, when “Juhannus” is also celebrated in Finland, the largest midsummer party in the eastern Rhine-Main area will be held in Hanau. Annika spared neither expense nor effort in putting together an exciting and varied program. Thus, as the main act, the German-Finnish vintage tango formation UUSIKUU will play for dancing and will certainly inspire the attendees with legendary Finnish tango classics and their own songs. There will also be traditional Finnish kantele sounds. And if you want to celebrate Midsummer like a real Finn, take a seat in the specially organized barrel sauna. In this case, pack a towel and swimwear!
Warm smoked salmon and other specialties
Of course, the physical well-being will also be taken care of all around. In collaboration with Scandi Catering, Little Finland Café presents a colorful selection of Finnish treats. One of the highlights should certainly be the warm-smoked salmon, an exceptional delicacy. Well chilled drinks for all tastes will also be available and will provide an entertaining and relaxed atmosphere.
Fashion show and travel advice
Who then after the one or other beer or Lonkero would like to swing the dance leg itself, is cordially invited to it. Those who have not yet mastered it can learn to dance the tango on the spot. Another item on the program is a fashion show, and there will also be a FinnTouch travel consultation.
