The Story and Mission of Little Finland

  • Little Finland was started by a “real Finn”, Mari Raatikainen. Her roots are in the beautiful lake area of Central Finland. Following love, she landed in the Harz region in Mid-Germany. There the founder has since realized her dream and passion: her own Finnish shop offering the sweetest delicacies as well as design and gift products from Finland and other Nordic countries.

  • We opened our Little Finland shop in Quedlinburg in November 2017 and the online shop only a few months later. A couple years later we moved to a bigger shop on the same street, Bockstraße, with more space for the growing product selection and online shop.
     
  • Thanks to the thousands of visitors and online shop customers we continue pursuing our original mission. We actively search and provide our shops and customers with delicious and uniquely Finnish and Nordic delicacies. We also offer design and gift products that are high-quality, cute, stylish and useful. Whenever possible we offer you hand-made items from small producers.
